My name is Saniyah Thomas, and I am a student leader, titleholder, and advocate dedicated to creating meaningful impact through service, leadership, and inclusion. I am passionate about using my voice and platform to inspire others, strengthen my community, and advocate for individuals who deserve to feel seen, valued, and empowered.
I am a student at Sylacauga High School, where I balance academics, dual enrollment coursework, and leadership involvement through organizations including Student Government Association and Future Business Leaders of America. In addition to academics, I am an accomplished competitive baton twirler and majorette, experiences that have taught me discipline, resilience, confidence, and the importance of perseverance.
As the founder of Every Star Shines: A Spotlight on Inclusion, I work to promote inclusion and opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through community outreach, sensory support initiatives, accessibility efforts, peer engagement programs, and awareness campaigns. Through partnerships with organizations such as The ARC of North Talladega County, I have been able to create opportunities that encourage acceptance, understanding, and meaningful community impact.
As a titleholder within the Miss Alabama's Teen organization, I view pageantry as more than competition. To me, it is a platform for service, leadership, and advocacy. I am committed to using my title to make a lasting difference while encouraging others to lead with compassion and purpose.
In the future, I aspire to become a family attorney and open my own law firm, where I hope to advocate for families and individuals while continuing to create positive change within my community. Above all, I believe every person deserves to feel valued, included, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

My heart for service began at seven years old while volunteering alongside my mom in nursing homes and special needs organizations. Through those experiences and through my cousin with autism, I learned the importance of inclusion and using my voice to make others feel seen, valued, and supported.
Inclusion matters to me because I have seen how powerful it can be when someone feels accepted.
I have seen how a welcoming space can build confidence.
How a kind word can create connection.
And how one opportunity can change the way someone sees themselves.
Every Star Shines: A Spotlight on Inclusion is my way of using my platform to make sure individuals with I/DD know that they matter, that they are capable, and that they belong.
